New workshops for 2018
Atula and David bring their fabled blend of safety, provocation and depth in group work; while Nagamudra adds his dramatherapy skills in embodied imagination and movement to bring the tale alive.
A weekend workshop where you can learn to see and integrate repressed or blocked parts of yourself, how to redeem unwanted, scary, exiled parts – to free up energy and feel more alive.
As a group we will unpack the timeless story of Prince Lindworm. This is a fascinating tale of redemption through love and compassion. Through exploring it we learn to welcome what we’ve overlooked or despised, and recognise its value.
Repressed aspects of ourselves may have protected us in the past but as adults our defenses can turn against us and feel like a prison. Escape from this prison involves us opening to an often painful awakening, in order to enjoy closer intimacy with ourselves and others.
In myths and fairy tales monstrous figures, like the Lindworm, need to be faced and understood as part of our transformation.
Prince Lindworm, like Beauty and the Beast, is a story that shows us how to relate to our shadow – recognizing beauty in the beast.
The story begins with a childless Queen despairing that there’s no-one in the world who can help her. An old crone answers:
“There is no ill without its remedy”. The scene is set to fulfill this statement of hope.
